Tirzepatide
Also known as: Mounjaro, Zepbound
Definition
Tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist sold as Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes and Zepbound for chronic weight management.
Doses run from 2.5 mg to 15 mg weekly. Appetite suppression is generally stronger than on semaglutide, so protein and electrolyte routines need to be in place from the first dose.
