Electrolytes
Also known as: sodium, potassium
Definition
Electrolytes are minerals — mainly sodium, potassium, and magnesium — that regulate fluid balance, nerve signalling, and muscle contraction.
GLP-1 users lose electrolytes faster than they replace them because thirst cues weaken and food volume drops. Low sodium and potassium explain most of the headaches, dizziness, fatigue, and leg cramps blamed on the medication itself.
