Dehydration

Also known as: low fluid intake

Definition

Dehydration is common on GLP-1 medications because appetite suppression also blunts thirst signalling.

Most adults need 80–120 oz of fluid daily on treatment. Signs of shortfall include headaches, dark urine, dizziness on standing, and afternoon fatigue.
