Magnesium glycinate

Also known as: magnesium bisglycinate

Definition

Magnesium glycinate is a highly absorbable, gentle form of magnesium used for sleep, muscle relaxation, and cramp prevention.

It is the preferred form for most GLP-1 users at 200–400 mg taken 30–60 minutes before bed. Magnesium citrate is more laxative and better suited to constipation; magnesium oxide is poorly absorbed.
