Soluble fiber

Also known as: psyllium, fiber supplement

Definition

Soluble fiber dissolves in water to form a gel that softens stool and slows digestion, making it the preferred fiber type for GLP-1 constipation.

Target 5–10 g daily with plenty of fluid, ramped up over two to four weeks to avoid bloating, and taken at least two hours away from prescription medication.
